This week’s podcast (episode 120) features 17 sound
collages by The Bran Flakes, The Evolution Control
Committee, DJ Format, Glockenspiel, King of Pants,
Negativland, People Like Us, DJ QBert, Realistic, RX
Music, Jeff Sconce, Splatt, The Tape-beatles, Tedshred
and Myeck Waters.
The featured artist this week at the SAR Blog is
Glockenspiel. Glockenspiel is David Jordan, one of the
founding members of the Wifflefist Collective, a North
Carolina cooperative which spawned sound collage
entities such as Silica Gel, Laso Halo, Magwheels and
of course Glockenspiel.
Glockenspiel bear the distinction of being the only
artist yet to be featured at the SAR Blog with only
one track in the SAR library! Actually, there are now
two. Jordan sent along another example when sending
back his answers for this week’s feature. For more
information on Glockenspiel and their awesome,
challenging sound collage (one of the tracks featured
in this week’s podcast as well, of course), please
visit the SAR Blog.
Thanks for checking out our weekly focus on all things
recycled, in the world of audio art and sample based
music. If you have any questions, please feel free to
drop me a line.
Until next week – thanks for listening!
