Artists in the Twin Cities area are invited to submit their work for the mnartists.org-sponsored exhibition at the Hennepin County Library - Central in a prominently placed display case (called “Space 144”). Six exhibitions for the Hennepin County Library - Central’s Space 144 will be selected this coming year and each display will have a two-month run. Individuals or groups may apply. Special consideration will be given to exhibitions that serve as a platform for complementary programs at the Central Library location. Only work submitted by artists who are members of mnartists.org will be considered for exhibition. mnartists.org is a FREE online resource. - ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST BE EMAILED TO submit@mnartists.org with the subject SPACE 144.
Submit (by email only):
- 3 Images : (images should be JPG format with a max resolution of 1024x768, 72dpi) . Images should be labeled in the preferred viewing order with the artist’s last name. For example smith1, smith2, smith3 etc. Submitted work samples should represent the artists work, but will not necessarily be the pieces selected for the exhibition.
- Proposal and resumé (and/or curriculum vitae) : saved as a Word document (.doc). Proposal should include a general plan of the exhibition in the space.

DEADLINE: Submission deadline is NOON, February 27, 2009. Final selections for the three exhibitions will be made by March 6, 2008.
About “Space 144:”
The display case at the Central Library is located on the second floor (outside the Exhibition gallery and Doty boardroom).The case is 1’ 3” deep x 12’ long x 5’ 8” high (see photos above). There is lighting and shelving, as well as an electrical outlet and data port available in the case.
