Seeking Artist submissions for exhibition in the 2007 GLBT Pride/Twin Cities
Art Show at The Soap Factory

GLBT Pride/Twin Cities is seeking Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgender
(GLBT) artists OR GLBT-themed art for its 2007 GLUT Pride/Twin Cities Art
Show (Art Show) to be held at The Soap Factory. A 501 c 3 non-profit, The
Soap Factory provides 3000 sq ft of gallery space, and the freedom for
artists to exhibit traditional painting, printing or photography along side
sculpture, site-specific installation or video. The Art Show exhibit runs
June 15 – July 22, 2007.

All 2D work must be submitted framed and ready to hang. All video work must
be exhibited on the artist’s own equipment. All installation/sculpture is
the responsibility of the artist; The Soap Factory is not able to supply
resources to realize unbuilt sculptures or installations. The Soap Factory
and GLBT Pride/Twin cities will provide the gallery space for the exhibition
of your work and can also provide technical installation assistance. GLBT
Pride/Twin Cities will advertise the Art Show on the Pride website, provide
publicity, exhibition invitations, mailings and opening reception. We do not
provide insurance coverage for work exhibited at The Soap Factory and all
work is shown at the artist’s own risk. For all artwork sold at the Art
Show, Artist will receive 50% of selling/list price.

Postmark deadline is May 23, 2007
We do NOT accept e-mailed submissions.
Submissions will be selected May 27, 2007.
Artists selected for the Art Show will be notified May 28-29, 2007 via email
or telephone.
Selected art must be dropped off at the Gallery ready to hang June 10-11,
2007
Art pick up will be July 23-24, 2007
We will be unable to tell you the status of your submission without a valid
email address or telephone number.

What to send:
No more than 10 labeled 35mm slides of your work, with accompanying slide
list.
Resume or artist statement, if applicable.
Video can be submitted on VHS or DVD.
We do accept applications on CD. Images must be MAC compatible (jpeg, TIFF,
PDF are acceptable) and not more than 1500x2100 ppi. ALL CD SUBMISSIONS MUST
be accompanied by color print of no more than ten of the digital images, or
they will not be reviewed.
A valid email address and/or telephone number for notification of selection
status.
