mnartists.org will be at the Minnesota State Fair again this year. But we can’t do it without our members. We need your help to staff the booth, join in on the fun & meet other members of the mnartists.org community

Volunteers will staff the booth for a three hour shift and in return will receive one of our new mnartists.org t-shirts, free admission to the fair on the day you volunteer. We will have a Meet & Greet for volunteers at the Walker Art Center in early August.

The Meet & Greet for volunteers will be Thursday August 14, 4pm-7pm, in the Barnes Conference Room. We will be handing out volunteer packets and will discuss all of the information you need to know, as well as answering any questions you may have. Don't worry if you cannot make it to the Meet & Greet, we will be mailing out the packets to everyone who cannot be there.

To volunteer for mnartists.org’s State Fair Booth, please provide the following information to Will Lager, mnartists.org Community Liaison, at info@mnartists.org.

Please include State Fair Volunteer in the email subject.

Your name & top three choices for shifts (include date & time and let us know if you want to work more than one shift—the Fair only comes around once a year.)

  1. Mailing address + email address
  2. A phone number we can reach you at
  3. Your t-shirt size (S,M,L,XL)

The shift times are available for Thursday, August 21st– Monday September 1st

  • 9am-noon
  • noon-3pm
  • 3pm-6pm
  • 6pm-9pm

What are you supposed to do during your 3 hour shift? A computer will be in the booth to promote mnartists.org, talk about mnartists.org, show off your work on your mnartists.org page, ask fair-goers if the would like a colorful mnartists.org bookmark or button (then get out of their way as they push one into a plastic bag), and just have a great time. There will be clear directions and contact phone #’s if something out of the ordinary (by Fair standards) begins to happen.

If you have questions or concerns please contact Will Lager at info@mnartists.org
