Producer Marya Morstad continues the “Radio mnartists” series of podcasts and KFAI radio interviews with Minnesota artists. Listen to her interview with furniture designer, Paris Renfroe.
Artist and furniture designer Paris Renfroe infuses his work with influences from mid-century and classic modern design, as well as minimalist and industrial inspiration from his years of loft living in San Francisco. His aesthetic blends form with function, as in his signature “valet” pieces -- wall art works that conceal a storage compartment for personal belongings. Paris is an active member of the AZ Gallery, a co-op exhibition space in Lowertown St. Paul, where he has a current show called “Urban Essentials: Modern Furniture and Art for Today’s Living.”
