mnSpin presented by mnartists.org and sponsored by Summit Brewery is a quarterly music contest featuring Minnesota musicians with winning tracks selected by panelists from the music industry.
We are extending the call for submissions for series 3 of mnSPIN, so get those tracks up and the submissions in! The new deadline is September 12, 2008., Each week a three song play list from the winning submissions will be featured on the mnartists.org and Summit Brewery websites artists. Monthly listening parties at area venues will be coordinated for each series and a compilation CD mix of music from the year long series will be produced. Submission specifications and entry process: Any and all types of music will be accepted; only three tracks per musician will be reviewed for possible inclusion on the CD. Upload your track(s) to your artist page on mnartsits.org including and email the url of the page to mnspin@mnartists.org DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: September 12, 2008 Judges for this series of mnSpin include Rachel Lee Joyce, (mnSpin Coordinator) and Assistant Director of Public Relations for the Walker Art Center, Pushkar Ojha , music director at Radio K, and Andrea Meyers, Music Editor of City Pages. Submissions must come from those who are registered as "artists" on mnartists.org. If you’re not currently registered on mnartists.org, it’s free, fast and easy to join. Please note: If you submitted to prior mnSpin series you are WELCOME to submit again...but you MUST resubmit tracks for this series in order for your songs to be considered again. Workshops will resume in September.
