Episode 66 features 13 tracks by artists such as Atom Project, Big City Orchestra, J. Buckley, Deejay JC, Dept. of Corrections, DSMO (Ronan & Friends), The Mentally Ill, National Cynical Network and Theforger. Check it out HERE.
This week's show is a baker’s dozens worth of tracks featuring our nation’s current, outgoing President, so it’s a good thing it falls on the schedule now, as in just a few short months, comedians, sound collage artists and people everywhere will have a new man (or woman) to kick around the White House. GW Bush may be the least popular President in the history of the United States of America. It’s also been argued that he’s a very easy target. But I’m not going to weigh in one way or the other! I’ll just play a few of my favorite examples of other artists work on the subject, and look forward to the future…
This episode was produced prior to my being introduced to the amazing work of RX Music, by the way. His GW Bush cutups are legendary at this point, so you should check him out HERE. Another artist I’ve become more familiar with since producing this episode is Australia’s Wax Audio – on the web HERE. Also, another great resource for political cutups is a website called DIYmedia.net – check it out HERE. The website is divided up into categories ranging from the politicians being sampled, to the subjects they’re preaching on. Enjoy!
