Episode 222 features 15 tracks by artists such as Antediluvian Rocking Horse, John Doe / 1200 Hobos, DJ Earworm, Escape Mechanism, Go Home Productions, Greater Than One, I Cut People, DJ Le Clown, DJ Marvel, Norwegian Recycling, People Like Us, Pop Chop, Splinter Test, The Throw Up and World's Worst Jukebox. There are a few standouts this week, really. I’ve got a soft spot for the I Cut People track, “Patsy Credit Card Decline,” which is a very effective cut-up about the declining US economy. Produced with Ellipse Elkshow, only about one year ago, it’s startling to realize just how much worse things have gotten, in such a short amount of time.

There is also an interesting cluster of tracks this episode, by DJ Earworm, Norwegian Recycling and Pop Chop. Each artist/group approaches the self-conscious “listing” of pop songs in very different, very creative ways. I’d pay extra special attention at around this point in the show, if I were you...
