In conjunction with the world premiere of Brian Keene's Terminal at the Paul Bunyan Playhouse in Bemidji, MN on February 27, 28, and March 1, a commemorative poetry chapbook will be given to some of the sponsors of the production (along with other copies being raffled off for charity), and we are asking YOU to submit to be in it! All poems are limited to one page in length dealing with subjects concerning horror, suspense, and/or the paranormal (think Edgar Allan Poe, Robert E. Howard, H.P. Lovecraft, et al). If you can work in a poem based on the book, terrific! All submissions must feature one copy with the author's name and contact information (snail mail and e-mail) and the poem, the other with just the poem (for the three judge panel). Feel free to submit multiple submissions, but please be aware that there is a $1 fee for each poem submitted (please make all checks and Money Orders out to "Cynthia Booth") -- ANY AND ALL monies left over from printing and mailings will be donated directly to the Bemidji Public Library. Poets who have poems selected for the commemorative chapbook will receive one (1) complimentary copy of the work that they can either pick up at a performance or have mailed to them. (Included poets are also invited to participate in a poetry jam following the Saturday performance.) The submission deadline is February 3rd, 2009.
Please mail all submissions to:
