Episode 137 features 13 tracks by artists such as 2 Many DJs, The Art of Noise, Doormouse, Jason Forrest, Paul Garcia, Mophono, John Oswald, DJ QBert, RX Music, Table Tones in Head Space, The Tape-beatles, team9 and James Tenney. Check it out HERE.
I think my favorite track this week is “My Reflection Of Andre,” by Mophono. It’s off of the 2002 release, “Idiom Creak Presents: The After Dinner Collection.” All of the tracks on the compilation feature the disembodied voices of both Andre Gregory and Wallace Shawn, sampled from the film “My Dinner With Andre” (1981). Most of the tracks are quite good, but I find this one to be especially thoughtful. Check it out…
