Deadline for submissions: March 6, 2009

 

Tracks selected by local and national industry pros will be featured on mnartists.org and included on a year-end compilation album; some winning artists will also be invited to perform at mnartists.org-sponsored listening parties.

 

 

Eligibility : Open to all Minnesota residents working in any music genre.

 

ApplicationProcess and Materials: Submissions will be accepted via email only. No CD's or other physical documentation will be accepted. Questions or problems regarding the submission process or guidelines should be directed to submit@mnartists.org. Every attempt will be made to assist applicants in the application process.

 

The following materials must be emailed with the subject line “mnSPIN Submission” to submit@mnartists.org by March 6th, 2009 to be considered.

 

  • Resume or Band Bio saved as a Word document (.doc)
  • 3 tracks Tracks should be in MP3 format at 128mps or higher. Tracks should be labeled to clearly refer to your track lisiting For example smith1, smith2, smith3 etc.
  • Tracklisting saved as a Word document (.doc). The track list should contain the relevant information for each submitted track including title and date. You may also include an optional short (2-3 sentence) description of the concept or context of the documented work.
  • DEADLINE: All Applications must be received by March 6th , 2009

 

Review Process : All submission will be reviewed by a diverse panel of local and regional industry professionals. Winners will be notified by late March 2009 after the panel has selected the winning tracks. The winning artists will be featured on mnartists starting in April 2009 with weekly profiles and featured tracks.
