Episode 229 features thirteen tracks by artists such as Apollo & Fluid Motion, Chopping Channel, Copycat, Mr. Fab, DJ Frenchbloke, DJ Geometrix, Gitar, DJ Godfather, Alex H, Negativland, Ruckus Roboticus, Wobbly and Zoviet France. Check it out HERE.
One of the standouts this week is “Sales Technique,” by The Chopping Channel, featuring Don Joyce (Negativland, Over The Edge), Jon Leidecker (Wobbly) and Peter Conheim (Negativland, Wet Gate). Recorded in the summer of 2001, at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco, this live recording represents just a slice of the group’s first public performance, having spent some time on special episodes of Negativland’s Over The Edge radio program, prior to this event. The Chopping Channel are a “super group” in a way, if you’re a fan of these three projects – as I am.
Be sure to check out the SAR Blog for this week’s Q&A with Ruckus Roboticus, who has recently released his addition to "The Lessons" series, started by Double Dee and Steinski, over two decades ago. Check that out HERE, and download Episode 229 HERE.
