Episode 154 features work by Aggro1, Buchanan & Goodman, Fortyone, The Freelance Hellraiser, Jacknife Lee, M/A/R/R/S, DJ Shadow, Speaker Freaker and The Tape-beatles, along with the Some Assembly Required interview with Greg Carr and three tracks by the artist. Check it out HERE.
The Some Assembly Required interview with Greg Carr was recorded around the time of his CD release for Innova Records in 2005. The album documents some of the best recordings from his late night radio program, “Technological Retreat,” which aired on KFAI from 1985 to 1989. Our interview was broadcast a little over a year later, and finally podcast this past week. The posting of this episode is especially momentous as it is the last of our previously aired interviews to be made available at the SAR website. From this point on, the SAR Interview Page will have available every interview conducted, from Steinski (2001), to our most recent interview with Wayne Butane (2009), along with everyone in between… Next week’s interview with Stock, Hausen & Walkman will be our thirty-fifth and counting… In the meantime, check out the Some Assembly Required interview with the Twin Cities’ own Greg Carr HERE.
Be sure to check out the SAR Blog for Q&A’s with over 150 of the artists we play weekly on Some Assembly Required (including Greg Carr), and download Episode 154 HERE.
