Episode 49, Some Assembly Required
Episode 49 features work by Anon, DJ Bombjack (feat. Ben Grim), The Bran Flakes, Steve Dirkx, The Evolution Control Committee, Ill Media, Laso Halo, Lecture on Nothing, Negativland, John Oswald, People Like Us, Public Works, Realistic, DJ Shadow and Silica-Gel. Check it out HERE.
This is an unusual episode, produced in 2003. The theme was “family”, and when my own mother and father were visiting, earlier that week, I got out the microphone and put them on the spot. They were great sports… I especially like my mom’s recollection of how she first fell in love with music (and how she doesn’t really understand how what I play IS music…). In spite of everything, they find a way to be supportive. Thanks mom and dad!
Be sure to check out the SAR Blog for Q&A’s with over 150 of the artists we play weekly on Some Assembly Required, and download Episode 49 HERE.
Thanks for listening,
Jon Nelson
