Episode 251, Some Assembly Required

Episode 251 features work by Antediluvian Rocking Horse, dj BC, Ros Bobos, Dunproofin', Go Home Productions, Virgil Howe (Sparo), Kid Koala, Christian Marclay, Mixmaster Mike, People Like Us, People Like Us & Ergo Phizmiz, The Tape-beatles, Think Tank and ToToM. Check it out HERE.

One of the standouts this week brings back memories of grade school, in the suburbs of Minneapolis. I remember some of the moms in our neighborhood being quite concerned about a game called Dungeons and Dragons. In fact, I believe I was actually forbidden to even be in the same room with other kids who might be playing it. With a little hindsight, it seems even more ridiculous now. Sound collage artist Ros Bobos does a good job of bringing this all back, with a track off of his new record (“Mandatory Astral Projections”) called “Role Playing With Cultic Overtones.” Check it out in Episode 251 HERE.

Be sure to check out the SAR Blog for Q&A’s with over 150 of the artists we play weekly on Some Assembly Required, and download Episode 251 HERE.

Thanks for listening!
