mnartists.org and ArtsConnectEd.org present Artist Voice/Artist Choice
Artist Voice/Artist Choice is a program for Minnesota artists to use the resources and tools of ArtsConnectEd.org to connect the collections and resources of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts and Walker Art Center to their own work. The goal of the program is for Minnesota artists to share their unique perspective with the educators and students who use ArtsConnectEd.
Minnesota artists are likely to be familiar with the collections of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts and the Walker Art Center. Maybe you've been attending these institutions since grade school field trips, or know that these are places you can go to decompress and recharge. Some may have only gone once while others know them like the back of their hands.
Maybe an artist inspired you to think about a medium differently, or perhaps a work shares a similar narrative as a work you created. Maybe you dislike a work and it made you think about your own work differently - whatever your connection or relationship, we invite you to share it through making a collection on ArtsConnectEd.
ArtsConnectEd is an online resource that houses all of the works in both permanent collections of the Minneapolis Institute of Art and the Walker Art Center and related materials. Developed as a resource for K-12 educators and their students, the website is easy-to navigate, to find artwork and save works into your own curated collections. We invite you to use this collection tool, Art Collector, as a means to discuss your own work in the context of the collections! This is a great opportunity to share your art with a wide audience.
