KFAI (Minneapolis/St. Paul): Sound Artist Viv Corringham
When Viv Corringham moved to Minneapolis from the U.K., she was mystified at the lack of street life downtown. And then someone showed her the skyways. Corringham found the skyways ugly, banal and "futuristic, in a rather old fashioned way." As a sound artist, she also had discovered new subject matter. Her recordings in Minneapolis skyways resulted in a seven-and-a-half minute piece titled "Skywalk."
