In this Issue: Transitions
'Tis the season of festive get-togethers and family trips and what feels like nonstop holiday hubbub, it's true. But this year-end juncture is also a natural time to take stock, to busy ourselves with plans for the coming months and, at the same time, pay tribute to the high points just passed. And as we mark this transition between the old year and the new, we at mnartists.org are hoping you'll help us note some of those memorable moments from 2010 -- the "year in Minnesota art" as seen from your neck of the woods.
- HOMEPAGE: Highlights include our "Year in Art" survey, loads of dance and performance reviews, and an essay on Russian art by Andy Sturdevant; plus, Weisman curator Diane Mullin rethinks the annual ritual of the group fellowship exhibition, a new installment of Maggie Sandford's series on Minnesota's coffeehouse gallery spaces, and more
- NEWS YOU CAN USE: A current batch of artist opportunities and cultural news from mnartists.org's regularly updated community bulletin board
- YOU ARE HERE: A handpicked selection of arts events happening all over the state in coming weeks
PLUS: mnartists.org and Some Assembly Required join forces to release 50/50, a new collection of miniature sound collage by artists from near and far
