The Benedictine Center is issuing a call to Minnesota artists to participate in a Juried Art Show planned for the month of February.

Awards totaling $375 will be distributed to the top three winners.

Entry forms due January 17th, 2012. Forms and more information available here: http://www.stpaulsmonastery.org/7-benedictine-center/sacredartshow.html

According to Sam Rahberg, director of the Benedictine Center, it has "adopted" the NE Minneapolis Spiritual Art Show that was introduced eleven years ago by Nick and Rosemarie Heille.  The title of the show is now "The Nick and Rosemarie Heille Sacred Art Show: A Juried Exhibit at St. Paul's Monastery."

"These exhibits started in Northeast Minneapolis," he explains, "when Nick and Rosemarie met artists working on spiritual themes and wanted to affirm the role of spirituality in their creativity.  It's been held every year since.  This exhibit complements our own Arts and Spirituality program, which believes artists can encounter God's own creativity and help others experience the Divine in deeper ways."
