MIA seeks Participatory Spaces Assistant
Title: Participatory Spaces Assistant
Department: Innovative & Interpretive Strategies & Participatory Spaces (IISPS)
Hours: Casual, hours vary (up to 12-20 hrs/wk)

 

The Minneapolis Institute of Arts seeks an individual to provide support for participatory spaces and activities in the Studios, Community Commons, Museum Galleries and Community Arts venues. Responsibilities include: organize and maintain inventory of art materials for Youth, Team and Community Arts programs; conduct regular inventories and perform or request necessary upkeep of Art Carts and other activities; provide some administrative support to Art Instructors and Studio Assistants when Thursday evening and Saturday classes are in session. 

Requirements include: high school graduate; familiarity with art materials; good written, verbal and oral communication skills; strong organizational ability and attention to detail; basic word processing and spreadsheet skills; ability to lift and move heavy objects. Available hours are Thursday through Saturday.
