Gallery 402b at the Northrop King Building seeking artists. Deadline March 15, 2013.

Open call for emerging artists, BFA students and graduates to show case their conceptual and contemporary works. Gallery402B views art as a catalyst to educate the public on contemporary issues and topics that effect our lives, and that may be swept under the rug. With this view, the gallery is hoping to show case artists whose work challenges some of our societal and cultural issues that may not otherwise be addressed. All mediums, sizes and installations welcome.

Mission Statement: Gallery 402B is a new gallery in the Northrup King Building. Opened by recent BFA graduates, the gallery is focusing on show casing local, emerging and contemporary artists whose purpose behind their work reflects research and social advocacy for unrecognized issues. The goal of our gallery is social change through connection with our local community. We are interested in showing all mediums, sculpture, to painting, to installation work- we do not limit ideas for unconventional work.

Entry: A complete entry will include resume, bio, image list, artist statement, and 8/ 300dpi srgb, jpeg or pdf images of artist’s work. Each image should be labeled with: name, date, title, medium and dimensions. Send submissions to gallery402b@gmail.com

All work must be matted, framed, and/or ready to install upon delivery. Installation instructions must be included.

Gallery Fee: Submission to Gallery402B is free. Artists who are accepted will need to submit a $20.00 fee upon drop off of work.
