Mick LaBriola

Mick LaBriola is world music percussionist and educator who has performed with a wide range of global musicians and dancers. He founded the Carribean band The Maroons and co-founded the Voices of Sepharad, featuring Judeo-Spanish music. He is roster artist with the Minnesota State Arts Board, and does artist residencies in schools with Young Audiences of Minnesota and Compas. LaBriola has produced "Prakritis Kiss" by Mojo Roots - a blues, R&B and Reggae trio and "Allwhere" with the jazz-poetry group Ancestor Energy. His new CD is a very personal project dedicated to his young son who died four years ago, called: "Songs for Diego, I'm Missing You."

A CD Release Party for "Songs for Diego, I'm Missing You" by Mick LaBriola will happen in due time, maybe early winter 2007. Local outlets for the CD include The Electric Fetus and The North Country Co-op, or see link below.
