CALL FOR ARTISTS/DESIGNERS FOR NATIONAL TELEVISION PROGRAM

The HGTV program Decorating Cents is currently looking for hip and innovative artists and/or designers to contribute unique furniture and creative accessories to the Trash to Treasure segment of the show.

In this segment, guest host Sasha Andreev shows host Joan Steffend how to make stylish home furnishings out of various parts of used, vintage, or discarded objects. We are searching for artists and designers who can create pieces in a variety of design styles (i.e. contemporary, modern, traditional, country, eclectic, etc.). For example, old globes can be turned into wall sconces, bookends, or a serving bowl. Another example is to take vintage sporting equipment and transform it into unique pieces—skis turned into a headboard, hockey sticks turned into a lamp, or golfing paraphernalia turned into a bulletin board.

Please note that design materials and projects must be fairly accessible to homeowners.

Chosen artists and designers will:

  • Get the opportunity to show their work on national television!
  • Get to keep their designs after they are used on the show, plus receive monetary compensation

If you are interested in creating unique design pieces to be featured on Decorating Cents, please send a letter of interest and photos or examples of your work to:
