I've never gone for a degree in fine arts. Quite the opposite, my primary line of work is Information Technology. So during the day my mind works itself through the ether of code and at night I let it go free through the lens.
I've been through many day classes, taken many online and offline courses, and have read many books about it - including the holy trilogy by Adams.
My art-side tends to be focused on the more industrial side of things - sharp contrast, harsh light and shadows, large machines - this is the domain I live in.
My non-art side can be found in publications such as Wired Magazine, Cosmos, Minnesota Monthly and various other places on and offline.
