Using orange and green tape, I mimicked the growth of the weeds sprouting through the cracks , studying and creating this for several days.
“Beets Fence” installation and beet juice communion, Reynolds Park, Madison, WI
A compass was oriented at the center of a large rectangular fenced-in rooftop area. Participants looked out through the translucent beets over the surrounding industrial landscape, observing a relationship between natural bodies and urban planning. 2003
