I have a BA degree from the College of St Catherine. Originally my media of choice were photography and photo silkscreening. In 1990 I discovered polymer clay and have been making polymer clay/mixed media jewelry every since. My early polymer clay jewelry was made using the millefiori technique which is inspired by the Venetian millefiori cane glassmaking technique. However, early on I discovered that I would rather play with the scraps from the millefiori cane, rather than the cane slices themselves. I now work with a lot of surface techniques on the clay. I also use polymer clay scraps to make finials for copper plant stakes. These plant stakes also incorporate stained glass techniques. I will be featured on HGTV's program "That's Clever" during the 2008 season.
