BIOGRAPHY:
There was a time, for me, when stories didn't exist. It was in a harsh, inhospitable land where neighbors never spoke to one another, violets were despised, and fire was against the law. It was surburbia, MN, in the 1990s.
Since that time, I've had the opportunity to pursue a bit of my soul -- and in doing so I've met the souls of others. I've become a digital filmmaker, a writer and a tutor.
I've also been given the opportunity to climb aboard the Asian Dragon Boat, and what an incredible journey it has been. To be mentored in the storytelling community by the first Vietnamese-American librarian, a scant 30 years after my father served during the war, is proof that stories will unite us, and peace is always possible.
I would like to thank all of the artists, both listed and unlisted, who have supported me and my life's work. I look forward to sharing soul with you again soon.
DIGITAL VIDEO EXHIBITIONS:
The compliation "A Form of Earth" was presented at Anoka Ramsey Community College in January, 2001.
"Harvest of Fires," my second complitation, was screened at Hamline University in November, 2003.
STORYTELLING PERFORMANCES:
I routinely perform with the Asian Dragon Boat Storytellers for Asian holidays and storytelling events, including Tellabration 2003. Send an email request for dates and times.
READING PERFORMANCES
I try to make it a habit to read my most current creative non-fiction during the Loft student readings each term.
COLLECTIONS:
"A Form of Earth" 35 min.
This anthology, which collects my first seven short digital films, centers around the issue of conscious mortality, reflecting on lives lived and lost.

"Determination"
"To the World: 9/12/01"
"Baby: Images of the Oakland Cemetery"

If my first anthology was about the peace of death, my second is about the fires of living. These six films are my angry teenagers, surly and eager to break away from me.
