My name is Stacey Thompson and I have been creating for what seems to be my entire life. There have been three very creative women in my life that have instilled a creative nature in me - my mom and both of my grandmas. I learned how to sew, cross-stitch, crochet and make jewelry at a very young age. My sister and I always seemed to have plenty of craft items surrounding us growing up (Thanks, Dad, for always buying us all of the craft supplies we ever needed!) My first introduction to a sewing machine was probably when I was about eight years old. My mom taught my sister and I how to sew our own shorts. I remember how much fun it was to pick out the fabric for our custom clothing.
I was reintroduced to sewing on a visit back home to my parents' house several years ago. I had given my mom a new Amy Butler purse pattern and we stayed up all hours of the night sewing purses to give as gifts (and a few for ourselves as well). I got my own sewing machine from my mother-in-law (who happens to be an amazing quilter) for Christmas that same year and the rest is history.
