Hi, my name is Cathy Williams. I have been carving and decorating eggs for over twenty years.
I saw my first decorated egg in 1978. It was done by a wonderful artist, Florence Swanker, of Sleepy Eye. I was hooked. Years later, I met a lady from my church, Thema Volmer, who shared her expertise, supplies, and encouragement. I thank them both sincerely.
But above all, these pages are dedicated to my Mama, who always encouraged my imagination and creativity.
Eggs represent rebirth, renewal, and new beginnings. They are fragile, yet they are also one of the strongest shapes that exist. The eggs I use for my designs were obtained through bird farmers. I do not take eggs from the wild.
Most of my eggs are done for family, friends, special occasions, and I have done some on consignment.
I would be glad to answer any of your questions, if you are interested. I like to barter as well as selling my eggs.
