I stopped making art almost completely after dealing with some arrogant and nasty gallery owners. I thought: "Why put myself through all this constant attitude bullshit - especially when it's coming out of the mouths of twenty-somethings - not to mention that I'm getting nothing in the process?" And so I simply stopped. Recently - my husband bought me cartload of new equipment - and software - left it all on my work table - without speaking a word. I got the hint. I really like the idea of this project because we are doing a simple gesture for these kids, but it really means a lot to them. The best of this project was getting to see how happy they were to recieve their prints. We were creating a storyline involving chimney sweeps in the 1920s. The coloring of the outdoors always inspires me when it snows. Everything is dulled down and slightly dark, even during the middle of the day - but it is still beautiful, in its own way.
