I have a very vivid inner life and spend a lot of my free time dedicated to creative writing. As a result, I have a lot of personal characters that I love to represent in various works, and this is one of them. Her name is Salome.
Religious -- particularly saint iconography -- is one of my favorite things to play with. I was raised in a Catholic environment despite now (and for most of my life) identifying as a Jewish person. There's something about Catholicism's imagery that they just... really managed to nail. It's utterly captivating. At the same time, I don't want to strip the Jewishness from Salome, either, nor her connection to things that are beyond this world. She's a bit deviant like that, attracting forces beyond her control.
