Taken on the weekend previous to the 4th of July, 06 on the way to NE Wisconsin. What is most memorable about this photo is that it marks the first use of my new tripod and precedes by about 1 minute me falling into the river. I broke my previous tripod by taking a tumble at a waterfall, and almost did the same with the new one. Luckily the camera was in the bag and the tripod was not in jeapordy. The only damage was a bruised knee and wet clothes. I"m glad I was able to get a useable photo out of the experience--it makes the effort worthwhile...
