Soundtracks, in the form of mix CDs, made sincerely and expressly for use in Immediately, a work chasing an essential purpose and desirability of dance as medium and communal experience (first presented at Dixon Place in 2012). Utilizing an introspective ingestion of the gifted music and accompanying layers of history and personal reference, letting choreographic fixtures inflate and deflate throughout rehearsals, and building to a still introverted though ecstatic and unrestrained live corporeal exchange. The collection of music and involved individuals has continued to grow with folk vitality. One disc, unannounced to all, played at the performance, chosen indiscriminately for added immediacy.
