The inspiration for this piece came from a song in Roger's and Hammerstein's"Cinderella". The weight of the glass doors is balanced through a series of cams. cables, and springs. It is constructed of maple, tiger maple veneer, mahogany, ebony, glass and birch plywood. It is finished in water-based analine dyes and nitrocellulose lacquer. It took about about 500 hours and required 5 different bending forms. $6000.
