Images were hand-carved in lino block, then individually printed. Each icon has been imprinted on rice paper using ink. They were then stabilized and matted on acid-free rag paper. The pale green color of the handmade rag paper used with this triptych is meant to represent our need to silence the noise both outside and within so we can hear the whispers coming from our soul.
The Hamsa, symbolizing the Hand of God, is a protective sign in all faiths. This illustration connects to those who are at a cross-road in life. It also shows a belief in a "Higher Power".
Lotus flowers are symbolic of divine purity of the body, speech, and mind. Although the roots are deep in the mud, its beautiful flower floats above while the petals easily shed water.
The Meditation Buddha signifies peace and calm. This likeness is connected to serenity and focused concentration.
