Somewhere, was a site specific installation about displacement, dispersion and division, in the context of global mobility. The artwork was designed as a response to the architecture of Gallery 148, Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Starting from a gap in the tiles on the floor, Somewhere emphasized a physical border, by being an obstacle to the natural ow of the gallery. The ephimeral quality of this work, which changed, as the audience walked into the space, spoke for the dispersion of identity, in the experience of migration. The use of reflecting packaging materials, addressed ideas of mirroring, commodication and consumerism.
