  • This most recent solo explores my personal struggle to forgive my father and myself, if either is possible.  It was a very powerful, emotional and visceral journey through the body.  I portrayed my monster, the animal lurking in the dark, my childlike self, my father...  Because I am struggling to talk about why it still hurts, I am dancing.
  • This excerpt demonstrates my ability to partner, dance in unison and solo with a modern dance vocabulary.
  • Emily Gastineau updated the Artwork 3. UNRELATED
This excerpt captures my unique relationship with gravity as well as my curious, quirky, idiosyncratic movement style & personality.  Making & dancing this piece was joyful, messy and inspiring.
  • This piece was inspired by a young girl's story of how she and her brother saved a goldfish from the gutter outside a Burger King in St. Paul. Seven years later, here's my version of the story (and the goldfish that's still alive!)
  • Emily Gastineau updated the Artwork 5. Judged House
This physical duet shows my ability to dance in unison with a partner as well as execute dynamic, contemporary partnering.  This duet was originally choreographed in 1996 so when Mathew Janczewski asked me to be part of re-staging the work I took the opportunity to contribuate as much of myself to the new version as possible.  I look forward to the opportunity to perform this duet again as my technical ability has increased greatly due to studying with Mathew.
  • The Greek God of Terpsichore made us do every move you see... ;) This excerpt shows my strength as a soloist through the use of gesture, line, momentum, humor, timing & repetition.  I am on the left of the screen, wearing yellow sleeves.
