Cheri Meyer is a self taught jeweler designer. She has over thirty years experience mastering different jewelry making techniques and designs, but it was bead weaving that captured her spirit; she instantly fell in love with the ancient weaving technique, the way the beads lock together to form magical patterns. Her intuitive process of free form bead weaving is mixing her mental stimulation while working with colorful seed beads, meaningful stones, metal, fiber, found and handmade objects. Cheri is inspired by sharing her process and technique with others.
Dedicated and well-organized professional artist 30 plus years with a strong and varied background in jewelry design and construction. Instructed and self taught with a strong emphasis of bead weaving.
My free form peyote stitch bead weaving is a pure energy process of mixing my mental stimulation while integrating colorful seed beads, meaningful stones, metal, fiber, found & handmade objects. Each piece I create has a distinct individuality and uniqueness of its own. I love the ancient weaving technique and the way the beads lock together to form magical patterns. I have taken this ancient technique and made it my own with my unique assembly, intuitive designs and color mixing.
