We are a secretary and math grad student (U of M) seeking a quiet boarder (non-smoker, non-drinker/partier) for bedroom on second floor of our beautiful 3 bedroom home. Our home is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood near buslines and light rail, and biking distance from the U of M.
Graduate students and/or international residents welcome. Rent is $485 and includes a shared quiet study area, shared bathroom, living room, dining room, huge kitchen. Fully renovated this summer - lots of hardwood. Cable-ready. Separate or shared phone line (your choice). We love gardeners. Free laundry! Central A/C, heating, etc. Furnishings available at no extra cost.
Boarder pays reasonable rent, plus 1/3 of utilities (phone, electric, gas). House is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood, within walking distance of major bus lines and light rail station. There are several parks in the neighborhood. Length of lease negotiable. Pets considered on a case-by-case
basis. We do live with an orange-fronted conure (small parrot).
More about Us: We are two female, liberal, overworked-types, who have purchased our first home but need a renter to help make mortgage payments. Our school/work-lives are crazy enough already, so we want to keep our house free of smoking, excessive drinking and loud parties. We do have a designated quiet study area, since one of us is working on her PhD and has way too much work on her hands. We try to lead peaceful lives; we like to knit/crochet, cook, garden, read.
