There are so many interesting people leading interesting lives on the site. I am curious what all of you are up to today, and everyday. Throw out a sentence or two about what you've been doing or are doing.

Since I find myself fascinating, I will start.

Today I am sitting at Open Book with tea and donuts, listening to one of my favorite albums from yesteryear (D'Angelo's Brown Sugar), updating the forums, and preparing to write my first article for the Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine.

Tonight, I am going to see some friends perform at the Red Eye. Rosy Simas Dance Projects and Barbara Mahler (buddy and mentor from NYC) are showing work.

I taught an improv class this morning. It was the big run-through for their student show next week; they were terrific. Then I took a bath. Now I plan to lie around feeling sorry for myself until I go perform at Look Ma No Pants at the Bryant Lake Bowl to-night.

I like your day better, Colin.

Jill,

A few hours of feeling sorry for yourself? My friend that's why we have movie theaters. Don't feel so bad though. I haven't mentioned my day for tomorrow yet. But, you will have to wait to hear about all of that drama.

Have fun with the flashers tonight. I need to go see them sometime. How do I get on their email list?

You are fascinating, Colin!

I spent today lounging around with my partner, giving him "head-scratchies" and watching a bit of tpt, and recovering from a back injury that happened last week.

Then I went to the Central Library and got a cool book (see the Book Rec Thread), did a lot of research for work, and avoided homework at all costs.

(#1 Homework-Avoidance Tactic? Why, posting on mnartists.org! Whoo-hoo! [cheesy testimonial voice] Thank You, mnartists.org!)

Thanks Jill. I am now officially on the mailing list. I feel like I've accomplished something today. It's not like I'm as active as those guys in the Army commercials who get more done before six a.m. than I do all day. But I still feel like a champ.

Hi Lauren,

[Stately Commercial Voice] We're here for you.

Keep up the good work. I want to hear about you on the Dean's list at the end of the semester. Got it?! But, remember over studying is bad for your health and your soul.

Hey Lauren,

I just checked out your site. So, you're a Einstürzende Neubauten fan?! My sister was a big fan, and I would borrow her records. I never got way into them, but I am always pleased to meet people who appreciate them. That said FM Einheit's Prometheus/Lear is one of my all-time favorites. I found it used years ago and nearly wet my pants. It cost me $8!

Cool! Yeah, I actually just found out about them a few months ago - I was reading about the Prinzhorn Collection, and I ran across their "Drawings of Patient OT" album. I went hunting for EN stuff on Kazaa last night and was surprised to find quite a bit. Truthfully, you're more likely to find me listening to Bjork or Radiohead, but everyone knows who they are, so a link on my front page seems rather redundant. Listening to Beth Orton right now, she's pretty great.

Today I will actually do homework. hehe. And you will see me on the Dean's List. I promise.

Now I need to go check on the Prinzhorn Collection, not now but soon. I am listening to Promethus/Lear because of your indirect reminder. I am sure my neighbors are horrified to hear this album on a Sunday morning. But, I see it as a growth opportunity for them.

I saw Beth Orton in concert a few months ago. She hasn't made it into my collection, but she sure put on a good show. What a charmer!

Good luck with the homework.

trying to do laundry... but someone has their laundry sitting in the washers, and haven't moved them to the dryers in over an hour.

That's no fun... I'd say it's fair game by now to stick the wet clothes on the counter and do your wash.

BTW Colin - how was the show at the Red Eye?
