Good Morning Lurkers:

This day I greet you in the new mask of the Coyote.

Today I come onto the mnartists.org community in the face of Coyote Blanco. Coyote Blanco is the actual face of Jaime Longoria, Chicano Artist.
This is made so by the sudden realization that the Minnesota Artist Jimmy R Longoria can no longer attend functions or any gathering without being identified as the "COYOTE".

There are a other artists in varied disciplines that have begun to "borrow" the Coyote imagery to do self serving work. It is important to remind all of those artists that "Coyote" is rooted in non western culture. "Coyote" is more powerful in it's missuses than in it's socially curative application. Take note that the "child" that plays with the "sun" is often blinded.

Blanco denotes a new direction in the use of the Mask.

I welcome those you that have enjoyed reading the "Coyotes" in all of the forms on the forum to "print out" you favorites. Jimmy R Longoria, Minnesota Artist will "sign, date and recognize" your print out as a "real" form of the Social Political Performance Art of the Chicano Artist de Minnesota.

Note that it is a direct attempt to devalue "ART" in dollar terms and create a value for Art as "Cultural Objects". I do this because Art Historians and writers from across the "web" are beginning to document the Coyote Performances as Art. I want to make sure that those of you who have been affected by the "words" enjoy any future economic reward from having tasted the Chicano Performance Art.

I am at your service.

Jimmy R Longoria

My dear friend; you are no ones "servant". You are a unique person; an artist onto yourself. The "coyote" is always honored by you and in turn honors you as one of the few "true" artists in Minnesota.

I think the word is cosmic and not galatic.

Jaime

Haha, thats the one I was going to use. Cosmic white boy. But cosmic is to superlative for me. A galaxy is a real place. A globe, a cluster, an artist, a coyote, did you hear that coyots are over running Chicago? A city. A man. a servent, a savant - oh I getcha "Servant", clever.

This twine is putting the blood in my fingers. Having to pull it so tight, then tie knots. 3 frames done. Nameless crosses representing dead wariors.

Some good honor. thank you . Art of truth. art of minnesota.

Who said hello a few days ago?

neat, a fracture point weary mind state. I could write great poems now. I'll put it in the crosses and twine insted

Hello
MY name is Kerry.

Back in the summer of 1981 I started a musical mystery. This one is similar to the "Paul is Dead" mystery of the Beatles.

This mystery involves Paul McCartney, Pink Floyd, the WHO, and Yoko Ono. There are a lot more bands and solo artist's involved. I just don't have time to give you the complete list.

The reason you have not heard of this mystery at all.

I have not been allowed to tell the public my side of the story. We live in a corporate world. The corporate entertainment industry owns the corporate news services.

Yes, hello.

I'm Kelly. And you are....

Originally from Chicago - relocated to Madison, WI, then Oakland, CA, then to MPLS.

Started off working solely with music mixes, moved into broadcast/film sound design and mix. Exploring my creativity (or lack thereof) through sound assembly/design/creation.

I do not compose songs. I try, sometimes.

Always looking for new opportunities involving sound and audio - any indie filmers on small/non-existent budgets out there looking for some help with post-production audio , feel free to contact me. It's what I do. Looking for some new projects.

Excited to be a part of this community! Forward!

Hello,
My wife and I just moved to minneapolis from Syracuse NY. We are both sculptors and have opened a custom framing and art services shop in northeast MPLS.. We were so happy to see that a site like this exists and would like to commend the creators and contributors. This site just reconfirmed our decision to move to the area and we are looking forward to becoming an integral part of the arts community. Thanks again for taking the initiative and time to create this place.
