Yeah, considering all the huge death throughout history, there could easily be more death and even more lack of peace. Christ was not unique in the being crucified part, as the Romans would do the same to entire villages and such, the animals even. That would be some terror, the horizon of smoke and crosses. One would be tempted to obey, and pay 90% taxes or whatever. The ceasars ruled the entire world in this way, promoting peace at that. As anyone who disagreed with them was completly destroyed.

Okay Bob. Before you reference the body politic of 1890, get a little more familiar with the Federalists. As well as the Alien and Sedition Act. ( A wonderfully recurrent theme of yours, without citing the original context) I throw you a 'softball from Hamilton and you fumble it- where's your validity on past ( sure as shit not current) immigration and sedition issues without knowing the laws laid out at the onset of the Nation? Remember Federalist 10, since you want to make all Art politics.?.!.? You and Jaime have your heads so far each others asses it makes my bowells hurt. Yah, yah, call for a moderator at about this point. Where's your agitprop support right now? Looking for an intern to feed them 'what they NEED to know'?

You're a yutz. Live the lie Bob, live the lie. Stats can be bent for any/everyones purpose. It's all in how you cook em'. Jimmy, is race your 'default' button? Yah, there are issues, but c'mon man. Isn't the divide as much about being poor, no matter the race, the haves and the educated vs. the have nots and dumb?

On the night of the broadcast, March 9, 1954, the night the spear was hurled against the terror that held America in thrall, Edward R. Murrow spoke words that should be handed down as legacy to every generation of Americans:

"We will not walk in fear, one of another. We will not be driven by fear into an age of unreason if we dig deep in our history and doctrine and remember that we are not descended from fearful men, not from men who feared to write, to speak, to associate and to defend causes which were for the moment unpopular. We can deny our heritage and our history, but we cannot escape responsibility for the result. There is no way for a citizen of the Republic to abdicate his responsibility."

History occasionally informs us.

No, really, are'nt they both going on about the same thing? Its race/culture with Jaime, western culture/America with Bob. And the destruction of all, in one way or another. Or, whatever.

Actually, what sparked my interest of late was a cd of a Pastor's sermon, and his references. Hey, its the world, its always been kill or be killed. If say, ten US cities blew up, politics of most would change quickly. America has done some really fucked up shit, but so has everyone else. And the next empire may be worse.

Yeah, its got me bored artistically (no, I don't view all art as politics). Its an easy theme for many. Of course, don't forget, those years between ages 20-30 change just about everyone. The hippies said don't trust anyone over 30. I don't know anyone who has'nt shot themselves in the foot while it was in their mouth.

Its not logical to fix anything but the sick part, and many view that to be the root. Naturally, the sudden total collapse of America would result in untold death and destruction for innumerable reasons around the globe.
