Robin, here. I work at the Walker in New Media Initiatives, and I'm the project manager for mnartists.org. Forums is one of several new features that we're launching in our efforts to help build an online community for Minnesota artists. We're thrilled with the number of artists that have registered at mnartists.org, and I hope (know that the forums will be equally successful.

Hi all,

I'm so glad to see this place come to life. Bummed that I missed the launch party, though I hear it was fantastic.

I had the webcast up on my computer all day on the day of the launch. It looked and sounded great. And I only had to download one missing plugin.

Hi Tom,
I went to school in Florida and my class went to a couple of plays at the theatre next to the Ringling School. I remember some really spectacular and large banyan trees. I'm guessing you've at least been down to the campus. You must have seen the trees?

I'm Kirsten. My husband and I are artists making mostly functional work in steel (blacksmiths) in SE MN, just south of Winona. My husband is also an art professor in Wisconsin.
We have a couple of little kids, so we rarely make it up for events in the Twin Cities or Rochester.

Hello to all. My name is Stephen Haynes, and I am a photographer. My work covers a variety of subjects, although I've recently focused on fine art nudes (http://home.netcom.com/~haynesmn/Nudes.htm). I look forward to the possibility that MNArtists will play a more vibrant role for me than heretofore.

I wish I'd saved a few pages of the earlier incarnations of mnartists.org... fantastic progress...

MPR's "Word of Mouth" is what brought me here and keeps reminding me of what a useful resource this is. You've really charted out some real estate for the MN arts community.
