For Creation of New Works in all performance modalities
including theatre, dance, music, spoken word, community-engaged performance, and new (performance-based) media
cfpa is looking for up to three Twin Cities-based artists at any stage in their careers to initiate a new piece of original performance work, and/or a new way of working during our Fall 2019 short-term residency. The key components of this residency are free rehearsal space, a (paid) mentor, and a $100 stipend. The residency concludes with a public presentation and audience conversation.
More details HERE.
For consideration, fill out form HERE.
Deadline: September 15th, 2019, 6 pm.
Artist Fee (non-refundable): $30 (Link to payment will be sent upon receipt of response.)
This fee contributes to the cost of people to review applications, the honorarium paid to each artist and artist’s mentor, and the stipend for the photographer/videographer to document presentations.
cfpa will announce residency artists on October 1, 2019.
Please note: This residency is designed to support the invention of new processes and new makings. If you need resources for taking the next steps with an existing work-in-process, please consider applying in the winter for our Spring 2020 Works in Process residency, which is intended to support the deepening and growth of a work already in process. Details will be available HERE.
