EXHIBITION: Caponi Art Park invites artists to submit work for our July 14th pop up outdoor photo show. This show will take place in our open air natural amphitheater and will be presented in conjunction with the Summer Performance Series concert Siama’s Congo Roots. “This group features the music of Siama Matuzungidi—a unique fusion of a colorful palette of musical influences with traditional Congolese music, resulting in an uplifting and spirited tapestry filled with lush textures and dramatic nuance.”
GOAL: With this show Caponi Art Park wants to echo the work of Siama and his band. Siama has curated a group of musicians, from a wide array of musical influences and styles that come together to create something truly wonderful, diverse and unique. Their work perfectly illustrates the amazing beauty that life holds when people from all walks of life join together and share their histories, stories and lives. We are seeking photography artist whose work displays this as well. Whether it be portraiture, street, or documentary photography, as long as it speaks to the prompt and is able to be hung outside (weather permitting), we are excited to see it.
