SALUTE TO THE ARTS is a well-received and energizing annual juried exhibit held at The Crossing Arts Gallery that highlights exceptional, fresh, new work from area artists. We are looking for your best work yet from the past year! All mediums will be considered, including, but not limited to painting, photography, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, fiber, and sculpture.

Notice of Acceptance/Decline: You will receive an email notice of acceptance no later than May 31, 2019
Delivery: All accepted work must be received in the gallery by June 11, 2019

This exhibition is open to residents of Minnesota. Artists may submit up to 2 pieces for consideration. 2D/3D work, literary, multi-media, and performance art are eligible. Artwork must have been created after June 2018 and not previously exhibited with TCAA. All work must be exhibition-ready and prepared for hanging/display. Incomplete and in progress works will not be considered. Works that are not as represented in the submission process will be rejected. Artwork must be available to display in our gallery if selected by the jurying committee. No artwork shall violate any copyright. All artwork will remain in the gallery for the duration of the exhibit. Submission fee is FREE for Crossing Arts members and $5 per piece for non-members. Submission fees are non-refundable.
Artwork will be juried by the Crossing Arts Gallery Committee, and our judge, Casey Hochhalter, will select 1st ($250), 2nd ($100), and 3rd ($50) place cash awards for selected pieces.
Casey Hochhalter received his MFA in ceramics from Illinois State University in Normal and his BFA from Minnesota State University in Mankato. He works primarily with ceramic sculpture, and focuses on investigating the interaction of nature’s systems and the immensity of imagination. He has exhibited his abstract sculptures in numerous exhibitions around the United States including exhibits at the San Angelo Museum, San Angelo, Texas, The Clay Studio, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Northern Clay Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota, Ecce Gallery, Fargo, North Dakota, as well as participating in NCECA when it was held in Seattle, Washington. He is currently an Art Instructor at Central Lakes College, in Brainerd, Minnesota.
