Call for Artists: Landmark Center's Holiday Bazaar

Opportunity

We're looking for artists who would be interested in participating in the Landmark Center's Holiday Bazaar.  It is a juried show in its 41st year, so it's well established, with attendance annually of 3000+. 

*Although the deadline is stated as April 30, late applications from some catagories will be through May 20.  There are currently no openings for jewelry makers.

Event Details:

You will need to submit, by April 30th, a description of your art/craft, and photographs of your art, at least 4” x 6” with the PRICE OF THE PICTURED ITEM ON THE BACK OF THE PHOTOGRAPH. Please note that the photographs that you send are the jury's only way of judging your work, so the quality of them is very important.   After the jury has met, you will be notified in early June if you have been accepted.  Fees will then be due by July 5th. You may apply electronically or by mail at the address provided on the application.

The Holiday Bazaar is held on the 1st and 3rd floors of Landmark Center. Booth sizes on the 1st floor are approximately 8 x 8 feet; many are somewhat larger. Many have pillars or planters in their area, some are a different shape. The booth fee is $275 for 1st floor and $225 for 3rd floor. If needed, one or two tables are provided at no cost. There is a $25.00 linen charge for each table if you are unable to provide your own. Tables must be draped to the floor on all four sides. If accepted, you will be required to donate an item with an approximate value of at least $30.00 for a raffle held in conjunction with the bazaar. Money from the raffle, as well as the $5.00 admission charge for patrons of the bazaar, is used for future public programming at Landmark Center.

The Holiday Bazaar at Landmark Center is known for its high-quality merchandise, good food, music and festive decor...all contributing to a wonderful holiday ambience and a pleasant shopping experience.

Ten artists have been on 3rd floor in two of the restored courtrooms for many years now, so most visitors to the event are used to shopping upstairs as well as on the main floor.  Some artists prefer having their booths on 3rd floor.  Be sure to indicate on your application if you would be willing (or prefer) to be on the 3rd floor as a Holiday Bazaar participant.
