This position manages activities related to the organization’s advertising and promotion, leads brand management of all print and web design, and provides customer service at MacRostie Art Center.
Works under the guidance of the Executive Director.
This position is part time up to 20 hours per week. The schedule varies; Saturday work is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Communications & Marketing
Design advertising and marketing materials.
Work with the Executive Director and Gallery Director to create and manage annual communications and advertising plan.
Design exhibitions postcards and manage monthly mailings.
Produce monthly e-newsletter and artist opportunities digest.
Create press releases and distribute to media contacts.
Maintain oversight of MacRostie Art Center website.
Maintain MacRostie Art Center Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter pages.
Work with Executive Director to create and manage annual member drive.
Work with Executive Director to develop member engagement activities.
Work with Executive Director to create annual report.
Greet visitors, answer phones, handle gallery sales, and maintain gallery/Art Shop cleanliness.
Performs additional duties as needed.
The successful candidate will:
have an interest in and knowledge of design, art, and craft.
have an exceptional level of oral and written communication skills.
have experience in graphic design and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
be fluent in a variety of social media platforms.
have an Associate or Bachelor’s degree (or degree in progress) in a related field.
have an aptitude for working independently with minimal supervision.
be able to work effectively with a variety of individuals with diverse abilities and interests.
have experience providing excellent customer service.
