The Director of Communications and Development, in partnership with the Executive Director, will develop and execute an annual strategic fundraising plan focused on individual giving and will help us build and communicate our brand via social and traditional media. The ideal applicant will have expertise in individual fund development, a knack for storytelling, and a passion for the diversity that makes St. Paul great.

Create a strategic communications and development plan to build brand awareness and grow our donor base.
Grow our individual giving program.
Plan a few marquee events throughout the year.
Work closely with four core departments to help tell our stories.
Join our leadership team as we plan for the next stage in our organization’s existence.
Research and identify potential grant prospects.
What We Need From You
Bachelor’s degree or demonstrated equivalent experience.
5+ years of development or communications experience.
Proven history of success in individual giving.
Aptitude for holistic communications across a variety of media.
Ability to provide outstanding customer service internally and externally.
Experience working with diverse stakeholders from a variety of racial, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds.
A positive attitude, a sense of humor, and the ability to ask questions and learn new things.
Reports to: Executive Director
Schedule: M-F, 9:00-5:00 with some evenings and weekends
Compensation and Benefits: Salary of $50,000-$60,000, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer 12 sick days and 12 vacation days annually with nine paid holidays and two personal days. We offer competitive medical, dental, and retirement as well.
