Northfield Arts Guild seeks Directors & Music Directors for 60th Season (2019-20)


The Northfield Arts Guild Theater is seeking Directors and Music Directors for our 60th Anniversary (2019-20) Season. The exciting shows available to direct this season include:


Based on the novel by Mark Haddon and adapted by Simon Stephens, this Tony Award- winning Best Play opens in October 2019.

Based on the 1975 documentary of the same name, this Tony Award-winning musical is adapted by Doug Wright, with music by Scott Frankel and lyrics by Michael Korie.  The hilarious and heartbreaking true story of the eccentric aunt and cousin of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis opens in April 2020.

A high quality community theater organization, the Guild Theater provides stipends for directors and music directors.  We are located in Northfield, which is about 20 minutes south of the southern Twin Cities metro.

When applying, specify why you are interested in directing or music directing a particular show (or shows), and what makes you particularly qualified to do so. Please include a resume of experience in support of your project and your initial thoughts about staging the play.  Keep in mind that the Guild Theater’s stage is intimate and our budgets are moderate, opening the potential for fabulous creativity.
